Covered ("Covered," "we," "us," or "our") is a prayer‑request app operated by
Moving Forward Designs LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what
information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Covered is built
for people who want to share prayer requests on their own terms, and protecting
your privacy is central to how the app works.

The short version
- Your phone number is private — used only to verify you're a real person and secure your account. It is never shown to your group or to anyone who prays for you.
- Share a prayer request anonymously or under your first name — your choice, every time.
- When people pray for your request, you see only a count ("3 people prayed") — never who prayed.
- We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Phone number. Required to create an account. We send a one‑time verification code by SMS to confirm the number belongs to you.
- Profile details. An optional first name and an optional gender. Gender, if provided, is used only to route requests addressed specifically to "men" or "women." You may leave both blank.
- Prayer requests you write, including the text, the category you choose, and whether the request is addressed to everyone, men, or women.
- Groups you create or join, including a group name and (optionally) a group photo if you are an admin.
- Your interactions, such as marking that you prayed for a request, or marking your own request as answered.
Information collected automatically
- Device notification token. If you allow notifications, we store a push token for your device so we can send prayer‑request notifications. It contains no personal information and is not your phone number.
- Basic technical data. Our service provider (Google Firebase) processes standard technical information needed to operate the service, such as connection and diagnostic data.
We do not collect your contacts, location, or browsing activity.
How we use your information
- Verify your identity and prevent bots, spam, and abuse.
- Let you create and join prayer groups and share prayer requests.
- Deliver requests to the right members (including men/women/anyone routing) and send notifications when you've opted in.
- Show anonymous prayer counts and "someone prayed for your request" activity.
- Enable group admins to moderate content and remove or block a member who violates group trust.
- Maintain the security and integrity of the service.
What we never do
- We never display your phone number to other users — not to your group, and not to people who pray for your requests.
- When you post anonymously, we never reveal your name to other members. (A hidden identifier is retained only so a group admin can remove or block an abusive poster — the admin still does not see who you are.)
- We never tell a requester who prayed for them, only how many.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
How information is shared
- With your groups. Prayer requests, categories, and prayer counts are visible to the members of the group you post them in (and only to the audience you choose). Requests addressed to "men" or "women" are shown only to members of that gender.
- With service providers. We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, and Cloud Storage) to run the app. Google processes data on our behalf under its own security and privacy commitments. Verification codes are delivered by SMS through Google's infrastructure and mobile carriers.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.
- Business transfers. If Moving Forward Designs LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can edit or
clear your first name and gender at any time, delete your own prayer requests, and
leave any group. To delete your account and associated data,

and we will delete your profile, memberships, and requests. Some information may
remain in backups for a limited period, and we may retain limited records where
required for security or legal compliance.
Security
We protect your information using industry‑standard measures, including encrypted
connections and access rules that restrict who can read your data. Your phone
number is kept in the authentication system and is not exposed to other users
through the app. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work
to safeguard your information.
Your choices and rights
- Anonymity. Choose anonymous or your first name each time you share a request.
- Notifications. Turn notifications on or off in your device settings at any time.
- Access, correction, and deletion. Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to request a copy of it. To exercise these rights, contact mforwarddesigns@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
Children's privacy
Covered is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has
provided us information, contact us and we will delete it. Group leaders are
responsible for ensuring participants meet any minimum age requirements for their
community.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise
the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app.
Your continued use of Covered after changes take effect means you accept the
updated policy.
